What to Send When Requesting a Quotation

Drawings are the starting point, along with the design life and, where available, the load spectrum. Inspection and flaw detection requirements should also be stated. Submissions go to sales@dgpinyi.com.

Materials and Heat Treatment Options

Main load-bearing gears are typically produced from 20CrMnTi with carburising and quenching. Case depth is measured to GB/T 9450 and held within 0.5~3.0mm. For large parts, quenched and tempered 42CrMo is an alternative. Magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing can be added to the inspection process according to project requirements; the exact items are confirmed at quotation.

Operating Conditions These Parts Face

Wind turbine pitch and yaw systems, solar trackers and hydro equipment all share a common trait: long design lives combined with service access that is difficult or costly. As a result, outgoing inspection is stricter than for conventional industrial parts.

  • Tooth flank fatigue is the primary evaluation criterion, because alternating loads persist over design lives measured in years.
  • Installation is often high up or in remote locations, so maintenance costs are significant and correct assembly on the first attempt is essential.
  • Outdoor temperature swings are large, which places demands on both material selection and lubrication.

Gear Types and Size Ranges

  • Spur gears / helical gears: Module, outer diameter and tolerance class as stated on the drawing
  • Gear shafts / spline shafts: Maximum length ≤1000mm, shaft diameter tolerance h6/h7
  • Precision racks: Module M1~M12, ground DIN 6h25
