Gears for Industrial Machinery

Spur, helical and bevel gears for gearboxes, reducers and general transmission systems, module and tolerance class as stated on the drawing, custom made to drawings.

Gears for Industrial Machinery

Gear Types and Specification Range Covered

PinyiGear supplies gears and gear shafts for gearboxes, reducers and general transmission systems. Achievable accuracy is confirmed against the tolerance class stated on the drawing, including for ground gears.

  • Spur / helical gears: as per the customer drawing
  • Bevel gears: Module M1~M12, diameter ≤Φ500mm, standard shaft angle 90°
  • Gear shafts / spline shafts: Maximum length ≤1000mm, shaft diameter tolerance h6/h7

Specifications and inspection items are per the individual product pages: Spur and Helical Gears, Bevel Gears, Shafts and Splines.

Materials and Heat Treatment

For spur and helical gears, the usual grades are 20CrMnTi, 40Cr, 42CrMo and 45# steel. Carburizing and hardening brings 20CrMnTi to 58~62 HRC on the tooth flank, with an effective case depth of 0.5~3.0 mm (inspected per GB/T 9450). 42CrMo is quenched and tempered to 269~321 HB. 40Cr is quenched and tempered to 241~286 HB, or induction hardened. Grinding leaves the tooth flank at Ra 0.2~0.4 µm.

Typical Operating Conditions

Industrial machinery is the largest application area by shipment volume for PinyiGear. Service conditions shape the design requirements:

  • Continuous running hours are long and tooth flank contact stress is high, so pitting is the most common failure mode.
  • Frequent starts and stops with high impact loads occur on some equipment, so tooth root bending fatigue resistance must have margin.
  • Reducers carry noise and backlash requirements, so tooth profile and lead modification is applied as needed.

What to Provide for a Quote

Drawings in PDF, DWG or Solidworks are all acceptable. Alternatively, module, tooth count and accuracy grade alone are enough to start. The process runs drawing confirmation → process review → quotation and lead time → prototyping or batch production. Drawings can be sent to sales@dgpinyi.com.
