Gears and Racks for CNC Machine Tools
Precision racks, pinions and spline shafts for CNC routers, lathes and milling machines. Racks can be joined to any length, ground grade DIN 6h25, accuracy grade 5.

What to Send for a Quotation
Drawings are required for gears and spline shafts. For racks, the module, tooth type (straight or helical), accuracy grade and length are needed. Send these to sales@dgpinyi.com.
Materials and Heat Treatment
Racks are produced from S45C or SCM440. Induction hardening brings them to HRC48-52; where operating conditions call for it, quenching and tempering to HRC18-20 is used instead. Tooth flanks can be supplied ground or precision milled, and the ground grade holds a total cumulative pitch error of 0.036mm (DIN 6h25).
Gear Types and Specification Range Covered
- Precision racks: Module M1~M12, straight/helical teeth, ground DIN 6h25; precision milled DIN 8e27 / 10e27
- Rack length: Standard 500mm / 1000mm, can be joined
- Rack material: S45C / SCM440, induction hardened HRC48-52
- Spline shafts: Splines per GB/T 3478 or DIN 5480, shaft diameter tolerance h6/h7
Product pages: Precision Racks, Shafts and Splines.
Operating Conditions Typically Encountered
- Positioning over long travel demands a small cumulative pitch error and clean joints between rack sections.
- Tooth flanks must resist wear because reciprocating motion is frequent.
- Mounting reference surfaces need to be flat; four-face grinding is optional.
Application Context
On machine tools, long-travel linear motion is handled by racks, whereas rotation and indexing are handled by gears and spline shafts. PinyiGear racks are supplied in standard lengths of 500mm and 1000mm and can be joined to any length.
