What to Send for a Quotation

Drawings in PDF, DWG or Solidworks format are all acceptable, together with your annual usage. Please state the precision grade and the inspection requirements you need. Quotations are handled at sales@dgpinyi.com.

Materials and Heat Treatment

20CrMnTi is the primary grade used. Carburizing runs at 920~940 ℃; after quenching the tooth surface reaches 58~63 HRC while the core remains at 30~42 HRC. This combination of a hard surface and a tough core is aimed at pitting resistance and tooth breakage resistance respectively. Case depth is measured in accordance with GB/T 9450 and recorded in the inspection report.

Gear Types and Specification Range

  • Spur gears / Helical gears: as per the customer drawing
  • Bevel gears: Module M1~M12, diameter ≤Φ500mm, shaft angle 90° (commonly used in differentials)
  • Gear shafts / Spline shafts: Splines per GB/T 3478 or DIN 5480

Further details are available on the product pages: Spur and Helical Gears, Bevel Gears, Shafts and Splines.

Operating Conditions These Parts Face

Automotive and commercial vehicle gearboxes and drivelines demand high volumes and long fatigue life. PinyiGear manufactures to drawing, with grinding carried out after carburizing and hardening, and inspection reports supplied with the shipment.

  • High speed combined with alternating loads, so tooth surface contact fatigue and tooth root bending fatigue are the principal evaluation criteria.
  • Gear shift impact produces instantaneous high loads, which means core toughness has to be sufficient.
  • High volume production, where consistency matters more than the precision of any single piece.
