Orders Start With a Drawing
PinyiGear is a make-to-drawing shop. There is no model catalogue to choose from and no standard stock gears. Every quotation, process route and inspection plan is built around the drawing or sample the customer sends.
What the Drawing Should Carry
A drawing that can be quoted without follow-up questions usually contains:
- gear type: spur, helical, internal, bevel, worm wheel, sprocket, timing pulley, cam
- module or diametral pitch, number of teeth, pressure angle, helix angle and hand
- profile shift, addendum and dedendum, or a full tooth profile
- accuracy class, quoted against ISO 1328, DIN 3962, AGMA 2000-A88 or GB/T 10095
- material grade and heat treatment requirement
- bore, keyway, spline, thread and other mating features with tolerances
- datum and inspection items the part will be accepted against
- quantity per order and per shipment
- marking, surface treatment and packing requirement
If any of these is missing, we ask before quoting rather than assume a value.
How Accuracy Is Agreed
The accuracy class written on the drawing governs the part. Where a drawing carries no class, the class is agreed in writing before the quotation is issued. We do not quote a catalogue grade that the drawing did not ask for.
Process Route
The route follows the geometry and the class on the drawing: turning and hobbing for standard spur and helical work, shaping for internal and shoulder-limited gears, milling or grinding where the profile or the class calls for it, plus heat treatment, finishing and surface treatment as specified. Which steps a part needs is decided per drawing, not per catalogue family.
Inspection
Inspection items are the ones listed on the drawing: tooth geometry, bore and shaft fits, runout, hardness, case depth, surface finish, or a dimensional report. Results are recorded against those items. Where a customer requires a third-party report or a witness inspection, that is agreed before the order is released.
What We Do Not Offer
- catalogue model numbers or off-the-shelf stock gears
- a published module or diameter envelope that applies to every part
- delivery promises that ignore the drawing, material and heat treatment route
Sending an Enquiry
Send the drawing (PDF, DWG or DXF), the material and heat treatment, the quantity, and the accuracy class if it is not already on the drawing. If only a sample exists, send photos with the key dimensions and we will confirm what has to be measured before quoting.
